2. Mary Martha Wright. Born in 1742 in Augusta CO, VA. Mary Martha died in Virginia abt 1815; she was 73. Born ca 1733-1736 in Armagh, Ireland. Mary Martha died in Augusta Co., VA, in 1811; she was 69.

In 1759 when Mary Martha was 17, she married William Mathews, in Augusta CO, VA. Born in 1741 in Isle of Wight, VA. Born in 1717 in alternate date given in "Compendium of American Genealogy...". William died in Augusta CO, VA, in 1811; he was 70.

NOTE: The genealogical connection of Mary Wright to William Wright (1707-1776) and Margaret Malcolm is based mainly on Mathews family tradition. The probability is high, but there is not enough solid evidence to make the connection absolutely secure.

3. Samuel WRIGHT. Born bef 8 Apr 1744 in Augusta Co., Virginia. Samuel died in Ohio aft 28 Oct 1822 & bef 1830; he was 78.

Samuel married Mary MITCHELL, daughter of John MITCHELL & Elizabeth WILSON.

James married Elizabeth Black (?). Born in 1749. Elizabeth died on 16 Nov 1843; she was 94.

William married Sarah. Born in 1752. Sarah died in Liberty Twp, Highland Co., OH, on 18 Nov 1835; she was 83.

On 3 or 31 Oct 1791 when Alexander was 34, he first married Anna Maxwell, in Bourbon Co, KY.

In 1777 / 1778 when John was 20, he married Margaret McKITTRICK, daughter of Robert McKITTRICK & Jane Armstrong. Margaret died aft 1841.
